Norway Completed Its First Electric Air Taxi Test
Last Wednesday, Norway cleared a major milestone - the successful completion of its first electric aviation test project.
The project was conducted in partnership with BETA Technologies ($BETA), using the company’s ALIA electric aircraft. The test focused on real-world operations — cold-weather performance, airport compatibility, and ground charging procedures.
The aircraft completed multiple flights between Norwegian airports while operating within standard airport workflows. Charging infrastructure was tested alongside regular airport activity to assess turnaround times and operational feasibility. The evaluation also examined how electric aircraft may support Norway’s regional aviation network, which serves remote communities and short-haul routes.
Data collected from this test project will inform future planning around infrastructure, regulation, and commercial deployment.
Folks - I want us to pause for a moment. Forget about the stock market, the AI, the government shutdown.
Because we’re witnessing meaningful shifts in personal transportation - autonomous driving, electric aviation, and the infrastructure being built to support what comes next.
Innovation advances slowly, then all at once.
The Future is bright ✨
