Zipline Is Winning Last Mile Logistics

Drones Are Not A Fad

Happy Wednesday!

The markets are a bit of a mess, but I’d like to shift our focus to the Aerial Economy…

It’s thriving.

This morning, Ziplinethe world’s leading autonomous drone delivery company - announced that it surpassed 2M deliveries, raised $600M at a $7.6B valuation, and will expand operations to Houston and Phoenix in early 2026.

Why Does This Matter?

In 2005, Amazon fundamentally changed the way Americans shop with its Prime 2-Day delivery service. Today, Amazon fulfills orders same-day, but with drones, fulfillment is measured in minutes. Zipline touts that orders can be delivered in as little as 10 minutes.

Imagine delivering a life-saving blood transfusion before the patient even reaches the ER…

That’s the unlock.

The “Last Mile”

The “last mile” in logistics is the most cumbersome in the supply chain.

It’s expensive, labor intensive, and structurally inefficient.

Drones help eliminate the cost, and excess labor, exponentially increasing the supply chain’s efficiency.

Drones Are Not A Fad

We’re still in the early innings of commercial drone deployment, positioned between Innovators and Early Adopters on the Innovation S-Curve.

Zipline’s U.S. deliveries have grown approximately 15% week-over-week for the last seven months. Annualized - this growth equates to 1,400x YoY!
